I always recommend sticking to neutral, earthy tones and soft colors that photograph beautifully and won’t distract from your connection. Think creams, tans, browns, soft grays, muted greens, and warm pastels. These tones photograph timelessly and work well in both coastal and natural settings.

Layering textures is a great way to add interest without being overpowering think knits, linen, denim, corduroy, or light jackets all photograph really well. I also suggest avoiding bold logos, busy patterns, and neon colors, as they can be distracting on camera.

I typically suggest golden hour — the hour before sunset — because it creates the warm, dreamy glow my work is known for. Sunrise is also beautiful and usually less crowded!

That said, I know little ones run on their own schedules 🤍 We can absolutely chat and choose a time that works best for your family — whether that means working around nap times or planning for when your kids are happiest.

Beautiful light is important, but happy, well-rested kiddos always make for the sweetest, most natural moments. We’ll find a balance that gives you both.
